Srujana’s doctoral research focuses on the lived experiences of work and labour organising in the Indian platform economy. As part of her doctoral project, she is conducting a collaborative ethnography in partnership with the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union, in the South Indian city of Hyderabad. Her DPhil is generously funded by the OII Shirley Tuition Scholarship, the OII-DSF doctoral award, and the Wenner-Gren Foundation’s Engaged Research Grant.

Alongside her DPhil, Srujana also works as a researcher at the Fairwork Project. She also holds an MSc Social Science of the Internet and an MPhil Development Studies from the University of Oxford.
