Before joining the team Sarah worked for the Department of Health’s Policy Research Programme, commissioning and monitoring research to inform health policy. She brings valuable experience of biological research to the HeLEX team, with a PhD in Developmental Biology and Genetics and extensive experience of wet-lab research.

She oversees the portfolio of research undertaken by HeLEX, leading grant preparation and submission and monitoring project deliverables. She also provides research governance support to HeLEX projects, facilitating the development of regulatory frameworks and instigating best practice in international collaborations.
