Kenta is a DPhil candidate at the Oxford Resilient Buildings and Landscapes Lab (OxRBL) where he researches the conservation of Quaternary palaeoenvironmental archives in mainly the UAE and Oman. His DPhil project focuses on analysing the conservation status of these vulnerable sites and investigating the role of contextualisation and science communication in raising awareness of their heritage values. His research interest lies at the intersection of palaeoenvironmental science, archaeology, and heritage science. Kenta holds a BA in Geology and Environmental Studies from Washington and Lee University, USA and an MSt in Archaeology from the University of Oxford.
