The Fastest Bicycle in the World
The film tells the amazing story of Sir Roger Bannister’s grandson Barney Townsend and his team’s attempt to break the world Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) land-speed record at Battle Mountain in Nevada which stands at an eye watering 89mph. Think ‘Cool Runnings’ meets ‘F1: Drive to Survive’ as Barney and his team push human power and aerodynamics to its absolute limit to overcome some huge challenges along the road to immortality.
N.B. Sir Roger Bannister famously ran the first ever sub 4-minute mile in Oxford, UK in 1954. He is celebrated as one of the greatest ever British athletes.
Our intention is to release the film globally with a VIP World Premiere at the Phoenix Picture house in Oxford, to tie in with the 70th anniversary of Bannister’s historic achievement. Alongside a theatrical release the film will also be released digitally on Amazon Prime Video and we will be pitching it for TV acquisition at Sky Sports, Eurosport, Global Cycling Network (GCN+/Discovery), France 5, NBC Sports/Peacock and ESPN.
We are currently offering sponsorship opportunities. Your brand could appear front and centre on the film, at the World Premiere event and all screenings, in all press, social media, academic communications, and PR and also on the Aim 93 bike itself at future appearances at the World Human Powered Speed Challenge in Nevada.
We have a number of sponsorship packages available. For more information write to harry@oxco.video.
