Doaa teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as undertakes research across a range of subject areas and specialisms.

As a Subject Coordinator for the MSc Business and Management Programmes, she works closely with Programme Lead, students and the executive team to contribute to further developing the Programmes.

Doaa’s research interest includes resilience and entrepreneurship in politically unstable contexts including Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine. In particular, she is interested in investigating how the intersection of context, gender, family relations and religion inform entrepreneurial behaviour and resilience of entrepreneurs. She is also interested in exploring the experiences of refugee entrepreneurs in the Middle East and Europe.
