Partnership With Descript
In 2024, OxCo will be teaming up with Descript to train academics in the next generation of video creation technology.
Descript is an AI-driven video editing platform designed to be “the only tool you need to write, record, transcribe, edit, collaborate, and share your videos and podcasts.”
Descript was created as part of Open AI’s Startup Fund, and is designed to make creating videos simple. From automatic stutter-elimination, to AI-generated visuals, to it’s unique text-based editing function, Descript is perfectly positioned to help busy academics shortcut the process to video proficiency. Course participants will be learning to leverage this powerful tool alongside the full gamit of video production skills we teach in our Video for Impact training series, from scriptwriting and storytelling, voiceovers, animation, stock footage, filming, interview techniques, editing, copyright, creative commons, and dissemination strategies.

Partnership With Adobe
OxCo has an ongoing partnership with Adobe, who allow training participants and the OxCo video team full access to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of tools, including Premiere Pro, Rush and Spark (video editing), Firefly (AI-generated visuals), and After Effects (animation and motion graphics). The Adobe suite is unmatched as a world-leading collection of AI-powered software for video production, enabling a versatile array of video styles to be produced in a highly cost effective and time sensitive manner. We are extremely grateful to Adobe for this ongoing support in helping academics to share important research findings with the wider world.
